Se me olvidaba decir, las personas ni siquiera se comen después de muertas, y el espectáculo de como mueren, es aún más cruel y vergonzoso, e injusto, que la lucha de un toro con alguien entrenado durante años para matarlo.

Un juego es un juego y una pelicula es una pelicula y no creo que estos juegos generen violencia. Por el contrario las corridas de toros no es que generen violencia, son violencia.

Don't know if that's entirely true. A lot of slaughterhouses are pretty barbaric, same with chicken "factories".

Traditions are traditions but if are meant to make animals suffer then should be banned.

In my opinion there's a subtle level of hypocrisy if people criticize the treatment of bulls in bullfights but buy animal products at the supermarket from animals who endured a lot of abuse in the process. You posted some videos yourself.

My opinion is to better kill the animal as it is than turn it into a spectacle with an arena laughing at it but I don't care much. You could say that part of the arena respects the bull for his passion to survive or whatever, in any case there are more important matters at hand.

It's funny to see people pretending to be touchy and especially our MENA members, especially considering that bullfighting hails from the Near-East (Gilgamesh and the Bull of Heaven, Minoans...).

Entonces dices que mientras existan la guerras el maltrato animal debería estar permitido? La mayoría de personas hoy en día están en contra de las guerras y cada vez hay menos, pero entenderás que es complicado prohibirlas. Muchos gobiernos occidentales hacen barbaridades fuera de nuestras fronteras no lo niego pero también es verdad que hemos parado la economía española para evitar la muerte de las personas mas vulnerables.

No no digo eso. Lo que digo es que muchos de los que aquí dicen que el toreo es un espectáculo lamentable, luego disfrutan viendo vídeos de un A10 reventando con ráfagas de proyectiles de 30 mm a 7 talibanes que ni se han enterado de que estaba por ahí. Y lo ven bien, y se enorgullecen de lo buenos que son sus aviones y lo justo que es matar a gente así. o lo mismo con un Hellfire disparado a 7 km sobre una camioneta cargada de gente o que le entra por la ventana de la habitación donde duerme un peligroso "terrorista".

No me gustan los toros, me da igual que lo prohiban, preferiría que desaparecieran rápido, no creo que quede mucho para que eso ocurra. Pero escandalizarse por eso y disfrutar con muertes reales, incluso de enemigos, a los que se les da aún menos oportunidad de defenderse o morir con cierto honor, me parece una postura hipócrita.

Es solo por polemizar, y crear un poco de duda, me gustan las soluciones intermedias.
