Default Kurgan culture originated in Zagros, Iran?

Bernard Sergent places the roots of the Gimbutas' Kurgan cradle of Indo-Europeans in a more southern cradle, and adds that the Djebel material is related to a Paleolithic material of Northwestern Iran, the Zarzian culture, dated 10,000-8,500 BC, and in the more ancient Kebarian of the Near East.

That is a recent history compared to 50-70k YBP split of P1/R1 etc.. some where in SE or SC Asia.

There are many theories of even bigger kurgan like structures lost during ocean rise and toba eruption etc...

The huge continent like islands which hosted Atlantis of the ancient people where R1 probably originated is all lost due to ocean rise 18k BCE. After those events some moved to Anatolia and some to Europe and others in SC Asia.
