The opening of the 7th Pan-Armenian Summer Games held in Stepanakert

On 6 August, the grand opening of the 7th Pan-Armenian Summer Games was held in the Stepan Shahumyan Republican Stadium in Stepanakert, Artsakh.

This year the event has brought together about 5,000 Armenian athletes from 161 cities (35 countries) of the world. The largest delegation is from the Russian Federation, which includes 14 cities with 368 athletes. Three new states are participating this year - the United Arab Emirates, Iraq and the Czech Republic. At the 7 Pan-Armenian Summer Games, the largest delegation arrived from the United States compared to previous years - 318 representatives from 11 cities of the United States. From European countries, the largest number of delegates arrived from France - 178 athletes from 6 cities. From Australia, compared to previous Pan-Armenian Games, the largest number of delegates arrived - 86 participants.

The closing ceremony of the Seventh Summer Pan-Armenian Games took place on Saturday.

Prime Minister Pashinyan greeted all participants of the Seventh Pan-Armenian Games - athletes, members of the organizing committee of the Games, Armenian citizens and compatriots from the diaspora, and declared: "For the past 14 days, from the start of the Pan-Armenian Games to the closing ceremony, we enjoyed the opportunity to be together. We state that as a nation, as a people, we are united and in solidarity, regardless of where in the world we live."
