I've always been curious about Heinz Guderian's surname. Is it of Armenian origin?

Nevermind. It's apparently of German-Pomeranien origin.

Even disregarding Coon just not to accept the truth that it's more the emotional side in you talking, that it looks not the way you want it. The Armenoid and Noric type are just regional variants of the Dinaric type.
Carleton S. Coon wrote that the racial type in question is very similar to the Dinaric race; the only difference is that Armenoids have a somewhat darker pigmentation, most probably due to racial mixture with the Mediterraneans and the Alpines. He described the Armenoid as a sub-race of the white race.

Whereas majority of Armenians belong to Alpine, Pontid and Dinarid sub-races.
