your Turkic is as high as mine but you said you have Saami admixture and they must be related to Siberian populations like Dolgan, Sakha whose Turkic components are high enough

I believe my 7.66% Turkic score comes from my maternal grandmother’s ancestry.Afaik, My grandmother’s gradmother came from Northern Caucasia, she was a Circassian, i believe, they’ve mixed with Turkic tribes(Nogay, Karacay, Balkar etc) in Caucasia, afaik I don’t have any known Turkmen or Yoruk ancestry both in my maternal and paternal ancestry, if i had i would get bigger Turkic, Mongolian, Southeast Asian and Northeast Asian scores.

you can ask anything yes it may be related to the difference as Gokturks (Turkish Kaghanate) lived in inner Asia around Altai mountains for a very long time while Avars (then White Huns) were settled in the land around today's Northern India-Afghanistan-Turkestan region until Gokturks destroyed them because of Juan-Juans (Rourans). White Hun-Ephtalite union were allies with the Juan-Juan and even marriages took place and some of them moved to west with White Huns. Upon their arrival in Northern Caucasia they changed their names to 'Avar' after their biggest tribe Uar (Avar). some says they took it over to look intimidating to other nations but it may be just a rumour. They stayed there more than a decade, ruled all the tribes (esp Turkics like Sabirs, Onogurs, Kutigurs) then many moved to west to Pannonia, leaving some people as rulers behind who got mixed with the locals (this is mainly the main story of Avars but there are many details ofc)

yep Turks from Balkans or northern Caucasus dont score high in Turkic calculator since the populations they compare are mostly recent Central Asian like Kyrgyz, Uzbek or Kazakh which usually dont have a direct link with us

The whole Turkic world is such a complicated tangle, I hadn’t known where to even start to unravel it all.
But now at least I know that Göktürks were “characterized by a Siberian, Mongolian and Northeast Asian ancestry”.

At the very beginning cracks began to appear. First Göktürks vs Avars (Rourans).
Next if I remember correctly by my IBD segments – Uighurs.
And then it is Uighurs vs Göktürks - Avars being way out West.
