It's not exactly history, it's a story. Sad, full of drama, perfect to switch to emotions and distort all logic.

But logic is still there. So far no criminal investigation was even able to confirm the fact Romanov's were executed. There are only testimonies of unreliable witnesses and no evidence at all. There are also testimonies that royal family was split and kept apart for safety. In this version young prince even managed to grow high in Communist party ranks while girls were happily married and had families of their own.

Until conclusive evidence is provided all such stories are equally unreliable. It's coming down to personal beliefs and preferences at the end. Makes perfect subjects for exploitation and extortion.

Of course, there can be a lot of versions but about the fact that the Romanovs were not killed I didn't see than one plausible version. And also we all know, methods of Bolsheviks, the methods of people eager for power...

Rasputin was great man.

Rasputin was an eccentric mystic, from an esoteric Christian Sect (deep in the Siberian Hinterlands). It's practices were frowned upon, by the Russian Orthodox Church, but I believe that his convoluted approach was done with good intentions. He believed that unleashing and empowering sexual energy can bring us closer to God. He also wanted to meet the Devil, on its own ground, and defeat it, but that proved too dangerous; hence, we have accounts of his crazily strange behavior, in which he was talking to himself.

In case of Tsar's son Alexei, Rasputin just told people not to take Aspirin which was a bad choice while treating such problems. Rasputin had great intuition and was probably also honest and descent man at times, but he also displayed very selfish behaviour. It's hard to know certain things for sure, there are so many stories about him.

Just 8 days after alleged execution the city was occupied by forces loyal to Kolchak. They started investigation which lasted for few years. Main investigator Nikolay Sokolov continued it even after immigration. However this investigation had failed to find any physical evidence of execution, even bodies weren't found. All it was about testimonies and rumors. So from legal perspective the execution is yet to be proven as fact. All these 'we all know methods of Bolsheviks' will make any judge laughing at your face.
