Even the word for Colour is Persian (Renk)

Our most marine vocabulary comes from Greek, as expected.

Turks used to refer the sky as Tengri/Tanrı, which also meant God. After conversion to Islam it was seem heretic and sky was started to be referred as Blue (Gök) instead, and for the color blue the persian word was adopted.

For this reason, today in Turkish Gök means Sky.
