You are confusing two different ancestries. I posted the figures from academic papers.
This is in increasing order of closeness to OOA or Basal Eurasian:
27 Switzerland_HG
33 SHG
44 EHG
46 ENF
49 Anatolia_N
52 Steppe EMBA
52 ANE
55 Levant_N
61 Armenia EBA
68 CHG
68 Natufian
82 Iran neolithic
97 Iran Hotulllb
Iran Hotulllb is closest to SSA.
Levant neolithic is barely closer to SSA than ANE and Levant_N is not farmer ancestry although some south Italians/Balkan typically have a good chunk of it but not other Euros, they just have WHG+ENF (Pinarbasi-Villabruna derived). While the Steppe are better modeled with CHG or Iran_N it's still a lot of that same type of ancestry in there, which explains how Steppe EMBA is not that removed.

This only shows distance to WHG. In G25 the difference in distance to SSA is begnin as long as a population doesn't have genuine recent African (even very low) but NE Europeans are clearly not more removed than the rest of Europe while having a lot more steppe, it's at least a matter of individual scores, on average even Cornwall is more distant to those few samples at the corners of Europe

Ainu, Andanamese and Papua.
I've zero interest in East Asians, Native Americans and Negros (except for Bushmen/Khoi San).

I think it's easier for an american to be fascinated with native americans because a lot of our history in america even post settlement by our european ancestors involves our interactions with them, and the fact that they inhabited this continent long before and have left marks, and even names on it.
