I don't think there is any blanket rule to this. Anyway blond men are a minority in most populations.

As for OP, it's part of sexual dimorphism. Men are darker than women relative to race, so light is considered feminine while dark is considered masculine. Of course, this is very subjective as well, and there are plenty of outliers and whatnot. It's also most obvious in groups of people who are more middle-ranged in pigmentation, such as Meds and East Asians, and less obvious with those who are very dark or very light, such as N. Europeans and W. Africans/Aboriginals.

It's even made it into our artwork. The concept is quite old. For example, this famous Roman couple:

Don't know why on these forums the Nordicists from USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are always accused of being non-whites passing as Nordids. even among people of the same ethnicity you'll find a difference in skin tone. based on my knowledge, this is due to the fact that women have thinner skin therefore appears lighter.
anyway, i think it looks weird when the woman is darker than the man. i wouldn't feel very comfortable with a man much lighter than me.

I think this is totally random, unless you choose your partner based on eye/skin/hair color.. For example, my mom is overall darker than my father.

Now I'll only confirm the op's stereotype, but so far I've been in a relationship with one brunette girl, the rest were blondes (natural blondes). But that doesn’t mean I consciously wanted that, it was only with them that mutual attraction developed better between us for some reason.

My mother is a lot darker than my dad and many couples in my family are the same way. it doesnt look weird in itself its just that my mom and dad have very different features.

I can't speak for all brunettes, but I've rarely been attracted to men with blonde hair. I'm usually attracted to guys with dark brown/black hair.

Also, there are more naturally dark-haired people than people who were born with blonde hair. That's something that should be considered as well.
I've only known a few people in my entire life who were born with blonde hair, and most of them were women. So that could be impacting my answer as well, as I'm not attracted to women.
