Joan Malalas wrote in VI century the following about Troyan war:
reference: [Op.cit, 0122, Corpus scriptorium historiae byzantinae, Bonn, p. 97]
"And Achilles departed with Artidies, army of 3000 people, who were called Mirmidons at this time and now are called Bulgarians"
Michael Attaleiates wrote in his book History:
"... the Moesians are certainly Bulgarians who later received their new name.... the Bulgarians are Myrmidons"
Fulk (a Frankish germanic priest) in his description of First Crusade in 1096 wrote:
"Hinc iter aggressi per fines Vulgariorum, quos vocitant Thracas, ut habent monumenta priorum"
"They may their way through the land of Bulgarians, who were called Thracians according to previous monuments"
Pompeius Trogus Gallo-Roman historian from the Celtic Vocontii tribe in Narbonese Gaul puts sign of equality between Bulgarians, Thracians, Macedonians and Pelasgians
(See Pompeius Trogus, Book VII.I.2 -- Garnier, 1936, Justin's Epitome t.1, p. 155)
Ottomans (who were Turkified Anatolians mostly) created a theme of rumelia with map exactly where Thracians are: (Thracians being Troyans are automatically identified as Romans)
So how can Greeks still spread lies about their northern neighbors when their own Historians wrote opposite?
I know that not all Greeks are doing that, but most do.
To force Macedonians to change their name to Northern Macedonians because they are supposedly Russians... is terrible insult which Greeks will have to pay one day for they
know very well that we are not as forgiving as other nations.
