Ben or rather more precisely Bän is the original form of the Old-Turkic personal pronoun. Around the time of Tonyukuk it switches to Män. ä sound here is the Azerbaijani ə not the German ä

How many functions does suffix "mish" have in Turkish? varmish kishi - the person who went
Kishi varmish - the person went, kishi vardi - the person went. What is the difference between varmish and vardi in this case?

It depends on the case, for instance i use both when i want to say the person went/came. But varmış can mean „...it seems that the person went/came“ too.

Mış/miş/muş/müş is “heard”, dı/di/du/dü is “seen”. If you heard that the person went there, you say “varmış” but if you saw, you say “vardı”. We differ them as “duyulan geçmiş zaman” and “görülen geçmiş zaman”.
