The Amazon rainforest is not the lungs of the world. But it is an important biome for the oxygen cycle, as it sequesters carbon from various parts of the world, including the so-called ecologically correct countries, which are not so correct. They turn poor countries into landfills. I am in favor of a more sustainable system because I am a biologist, but there is a lot of hypocrisy from industrialized countries that literally destroyed their biomes and want to be the owners of reason. The best thing to do is to continue with the monetary fund to keep the forest standing. And put pressure on the Brazilian government. For certain governments only understand when they lose money.
