It seems like Spain is more Iberian than Portugal. At least It works with my father. Even he being 75% Spanish and 25% Italian, MyHeritage tells him he is more Iberian than average Portuguese (He has got 49% Iberian). Interesting! I think it's because Roman Empire, Visigoths, Vikings and so on. But I don't known.

Haha Portugal was a medieval rainbow nation, they were so much invaded that lost part of their native iberian. But still iberian is its strongest influence, the same for Spain and France that have iberian as its most important component too. But its crazy how Portugal and France get 30-40% when Spain is over 60% iberian!!! I am also so surprised how non iberian Italy is, I thought they would get at least 10% mainly because of the North Italian genetic proximity with Iberia and Southern France.

It is not the most used company for Iberians precisely, if they use the Basque or "Bascoid" component as a reference for Iberian results, it is normal for the Portuguese to give a low % of Iberian becauset that component only shows at most one of the three types of Iberians that originally existed, and although they were genetically close to each other, they were not exactly the same.

That would explain also why Frenchs score so high in Iberian also.

    Edit:not frenchs but Frenchs.
