    Default Macedonian and Bulgarian languages

Can you tell the difference? This is more aimed at Slavic speakers, but non-Slavic speakers can add their opinion too.

I personally hear quite a difference which extends past a simple dialectal difference. Accent is just sooo different to me.

I have a pretty trained ear on Slavic languages. (Native to Pomak / lived in Macedonia, Bosnia and Slovakia)

I personally think despite having a similar language the accent of Macedonian is similar to Serbian rather than Bulgarian. I also usually hear Greekish sounds in some words.

Bulgarian is most alien South Slav language to me. I feel a tendency to Russian pronounciation yet at the same time very different. I actually believe there is an influence of Proto-Bulgar in accent. Some pronounciations, especially repeated consonants (like in Turkish: "durduk, yaptık") has very Turkic sound.

    I agree with this.

Question, do you think Pomak can be considered a different Southeast Slavic language to Bulgarian?

The language today Bulgarian Pomaks speak is not very different than actual Bulgarian because they experienced the same reforms in vocabulary and an effort to not do having discrimination make them shift their mother tongue to the Bulgarian. Yet Greece Pomaks are not the same case. They have never experienced any artificial reform in their language and still speak an archaic form of Slavic languages. And it can't necessarily be connected with Bulgarian, because the vocabulary they use is like a collection from all Slavic languages(+ bonus Turkish loanwords) To give an example to what I said; I have never heard the sentence "Kak si kazvash" from Greece Pomaks, they use "Toyta se ime"(answer is "moyta ime e") instead. There is one another topic here, interaction with Turkish made some changes in written form of Pomak as you see in my example, I wrote "toyta, moyta" And this is general usage of the language in written form. So I personally can find reasons to accept Pomak as a different language and it is not only political. But the problem is except isolated villages Bulgarian Pomaks are not speaking it.

    Non slavic speaker opinion

pronouncing in serbian and croatian clip have the same flow and tones which doesn't exist in the others

north macedonian and bulgarian sounds the same, flow, tone etc , i noticed the latin writings are different for no reason, like č in one and ch in the other when both are the same.

Slovenian sounds more foreign and leaning towards czech.
