So, about two years ago I was banned from OKCupid for taking issue with something some chick had written on her profile about White people shouldn't be allowed to wear dreadlocks. The argument goes that White people who wear dreads are appropriating Black culture, etc. Anyhow, I informed this chick that the earliest textual reference to dreadlocks called Jata in Sanskrit, goes back to 1500 BCE in India, NOT Africa, and therefore, no one race has a monopoly on dreads. I can only assume that she hit the "Report" button on my message because a day later I was banned. The OKC Admins will ban a dude automatically because women drive the site's paid memberships and ad revenue. Bans are NEVER overturned by Admins no matter what.
I got around this by making a new profile and logging into my old cable providers' public WiFi which bypassed the IP Ban. I got away with this for two years until OKC started requiring members to give their phone numbers, and not having a separate phone number, I typed in my phone #. The site must have matched my number with my old account's number because I awoke to find my second account had been banned.
I installed "HideMyAss" proxy extension on my Firefox and I thought I would be able to access OKC because it went to the 'Join Site' screen. I figured I'd make a new account later. Today, I opened Firefox to see 'Security Certificate Not Up To Date' and I was not able to get on any websites. I thought someone had hacked into Firefox, but it turned out that this message only occurs when I had the "HideMyAss" extension enabled. I have since uninstalled this extension.
Does anyone know how I can use a proxy extension without getting this message on Firefox? Thanks.
