Nobody forced him inside. Macedonians who come to Bulgaria usually feel sympathy to the country, mostly young people, and aren't influenced by the 65 years lasting propaganda about Tatars, occupators, Alexander the Great and Tsar Samuil. I'm currently chatting with Macedonian student in Sofia, she told me her great-grandfather's brother was in Bulgarian administration during the "occupation" in WW2, and was forced to move to Bulgaria in order not to be prosecuted by Kolishevski's troops, and that her family believes it was communists who separated two brother nations.
