Can't wait for the paper to come out so we can know the locations. People will be in for a surprise I think when the southern shifted ones aren't going to be exclusively from the southern France site. Or me of course, but we'll see. I'd be willing to bet money on it.

To me, it looks like the ones who get Brittany and British Isles/Iceland in the top 3 matches will be the N. France locals, while the ones who get N. France, Belgium, etc will be mixes between the "southerners" and the northerner locals, because while that could be just normal variation, the distances are still quite big.

Also, if we assume that the names given to the samples(i.e "COL", "NOR", etc.) indicate which site they're from(which is common place in other genetic studies), we already know they're diverse in the same sites then. If the names are indeed based on different sites, there isn't one non-diverse site other than the ones with only one sample, and you know what I think this means. I'll wait before passing judgement though.

I have seen here so many coincidences that point to what is not assumed as usually accepted, that at least we have the right to raise some doubts and claim other probable story.
