I can understand in the case of Europe but what would you care about the US a country built by foreigners and for foreigners ? Half of of their ancestors are amerindian so totally indigenous, mexicans have the right to live there imo

Hmm, it doesn't really matter at this point really. I mean, sure the former territories of Mexico were taken by the US in the early 1800's and so on, but you know, those are the brakes of colonialism really. LA seems a very nice city.

This explains why so many of those eastern states, especially NYC, had such a high population of them (coming into Ellis Island). In fact, only after WW2 fighting alongside Northern European Americans were Italians and Irish (largely Roman Catholic), among Poles, and Greeks viewed as "White" people by the general public. The definition of whiteness in America is largely a political and religious one. Now in this 2010 graph it makes sense as a freakishly large population in India and China freely immigrate to America for more opportunity. It is for similar reasons from the past, fleeing for more economic versatility, and starting a new life.

They were viewed as "whites" before WWII. But "second class whites" aka, not WASPs.

If a group of moroccans, millions, inmigrate to Mexico, and viceversa, would be marginated and probably massacred by the local population.
