Default Origin from the Yamnaya culture (Proto-Indo-Europeans)

    Good evening everyone!
Is there a calculator that can determine the autosomal effect of the Yamnaya culture? This component is also called Western Steppe Herders (WSH).

Yes, but you will need Global 25 coordinates, which won't be available until July.

If you are a typical ethnic Russian/East Slav (mind sharing your Gedmatch results?), then your estimated Yamnaya percentage should be similar to that of other unmixed Russians. I mean you can check the references from Global25 even if you don't have your own coordinates.

The only reliable tools for this are formal statistic tools that are part of the Harvard University ADMIXTOOLS package such as qpWave, qpAdm, dstats. This is what the pros (scientists) use in their papers to model and analyze. Don't get fooled by G25. It's just based on PCA coordinates and ran by an amateur who goes by nickname Davidski

Yes they are that's how all the scientists are able to use them. They use them alot also at EurasianDNA.com. So yes they are publicly available from Reichlab website but the people here don't have the bionformatics knowledge to be able to run them

Admixture is used superficially but most of the serious analysis is done with dstats f3s qpAdm qpWave etc
