We don't really have many termini here but we have a lot of large "thoroughfare" stations. Amsterdam Central serves much of the country and also connects you to Belgium (Antwerpen Centraal, Brussel Noord, Brussel Centraal, Brussel Zuid), France (Paris du Nord) and (soon) the UK (London St. Pancras), Germany (Hannover, Berlin but also the Ruhr Area and Cologne and Frankfurt) and soon probably Austria.

Further stations: Amsterdam Sloterdijk, Amsterdam Sloterdijk-Hemboog, Amsterdam Lelylaan, Amsterdam Zuid/WTC, Amsterdam RAI, Amsterdam Science Park, Amsterdam Muiderpoort, Amsterdam Amstel, Amsterdam Holendrecht, Amsterdam Bijlmer, Duivendrecht and Schiphol.

If you want a real terminal in our "other" capital : The Hague Centraal serves the Eastern, Western, Southern and Northern Netherlands but offers no international connections (for that you'd have to change at Utrecht Centraal, Den Haag HS (Hollands Spoor) or Rotterdam Centraal) which offer destinations in Belgium (Den Haag HS and Rotterdam Centraal) and France (Rotterdam Centraal) or Germany (via Utrecht Centraal).

Athens and Piraeus stations serve most of the country here.

But people often prefer the bus (KTEL).

Have the direct rail links to Bulgaria that were suspended at the start of the financial crisis been restored?

From what I see, you can buy a train ticket to Bulgaria but you have to stop in Thessaloniki first. There isn't a direct link with Athens.

Halle's prominence as a railway centre grew with the arrival of the Erfurt-Leipzig/Halle high-speed railway. Leipzig is also connected to this route, but since it is a terminus station (though the Leipzig City Tunnel is currently under construction, the route will be shared with S-Bahn trains, making it unlikely that it will be used as a through station for Berlin-Munich trains), Halle is more likely to be used as an intermediate stop for Berlin-Munich trains. The completion of the Nuremberg–Erfurt high-speed railway also provided a further impetus to use the route.

not the biggest city of Sachsen-Anhalt, but the video is nice

In Athens it's Piraeus Railway Station, Larissa Station and SKA-Acharnai (Athens Railway Centre-Acharnai), all passing through a corridor.
