The guy purposefully goes to places that he deems interesting in a said locality. He won't show you the marvels of one place. If he were to come to Serbia/Bosnia, you'd see Gypsy slums, in Netherlands - North African cartels, so on and so forth. We don't have these things here, so what you are seeing is local alcoholics, which is our equivalent problem.
If you actually want to see Chisinau, then a quiet video of someone simply walking without any cuts is the best way to understand it.

No, I watch him religiously and I enjoyed the videos in Chisinau. But that's only one aspect of the city that he is showing us, which I can spot as a local. For those who didn't bother looking at simple city walks like the one that I linked, they'd think that all the city is abound with alcoholics and neglect. That's definitely far from the full picture.

I think he's a cool guy. Yeah he was a bit harsh in this video. But I love watching his videos and the way he travels around the world and shows everything. And his travel buddy, Harald Baldr is also cool I'm subscribed to both of them.
