About 35 soldiers have reportedly marched onto a floodplain site on the east bank of the River Evros near the town of Feres on the disputed border between Turkey and Greece.

Special forces and infantry set up a camp with a small Turkish flag flying from a tree and rejected Greek demands to withdraw.

Don't think its required in Greece - 80%+ of men have served military.. already indoctrinated to serve the country. There are no sphincter groups in Greece - Greeks respect the rule of law - just lacking leadership as its so estrogen pro-EU.

I mean by law, in our constitution we are allowed to have civilian military organizations to defend our rights and sovereignty. Like can Greeks have civilian militias?

I know what you mean - I think Greek mentality is a little different so yes and no there is nothing stopping Greeks for putting together a militia its just Greeks have no desire for it.
If someone steals something in public in Australia for example people would just sit and watch as if nothing happened as dont want to get involved in Greece the thief would be reprimanded by closest nearby male and literally beat the shit out of thieves etc

As for military matters - these things happen quickly for sure there are "close" groups from ex military but they would refrain putting together a militia if it comes down to it they would just fight. In Greece the person you served in the platoon are the people you know for life.
