The Parisian singer Georgie Dann, based in Spain, has died at the age of 81 in Madrid.

Georgie Dann was very weak, suffered from several pathologies and was previously informed of the risk involved in the surgery. The intervention was intended for the musician to recover his mobility, as it was impaired. The family itself was aware of his delicate health situation.

The musician was an icon of the light song during the 70s and 80s, two long decades during which he was the emblem of the summer song during those two decades. He achieved his first success in 1969 with El Casatschock, which would be followed by dozens of party songs such as El bimbó, Macumba, El chiringuito, La barbacoa, Carnaval, carnaval or El africano.
