Not only genetics, but history and language say the same. As I've mentioned many times, you can have your own country named on a geographical region and ancient kingdom and you can have your newly formed separate identity. I don't know how it helps you, but I also don't hate your people for that and have no problem with it. I can see how and why your people embraced that idea. The problem arises when the supporters of that Macedonian idea start to twist history and spread antagonizing messages towards Bulgaria. As you have seen I was way more tolerant in the beginning. Then some people crossed the line and made me take adequate measures.

Fyrom was never Macedonia. Only the shitty romans expanded the borders to include some parts of modern Fyrom, but at that time, Thessaly was also Macedonia.
