Explanation:
As men were physically much stronger than women they were able to hunt unlike women. After hunting they could ask from females whatever they wanted, even if they lived in "community", females expected food and males expected sex (and they knew they can ask for it whenever they want), so I classify this as some kind of prostitution too. Unfortunately, females lived like this until recently (left at the mercy of men). Even when people discovered cooking I doubt they practiced it commonly, it was probably fully introduced in early UP/late Middle Paleolithic.

The first good that was traded could have been food, and then maybe, when you have food assured, you can change leftover food by tools, sex, protection, a magic ritual , a cure or some tool decoration/artistic artifact to show prestige or with pretended magic powers.
