I fixed my post to say ' math is like an atomic powered prosthesis...' I tried to fix it before you quoted me but this site is acting flaky. You can't put the universe in a tube. The only thing that scientists can do that slightly resembles that is to try to recreate the biochemical conditions or state of affairs that likely existed in the primordial soup and show how life came about or smash particles in the large hadron collider at CERN.
