The main city in this part of the country is San Francisco which is also the third largest city of the nation. It looks really "meh" to me infrastructural speaking to be honest but at least has a strong economy.
Ironically San Francisco has also been historically the city with the highest criminality in the DR and this is since Trujillo times LMAO. If fact the Dominican drug cartels that made their way to New York during the crack pandemia were all mainly from here. I suspect this is the reason why the central cibaeños sorta look down to eastern cibaeños and francomacorisanos.
