Default Explanation How Bosniaks left Christianity

Bosniaks were Christians up to 15th century and were divided into 3 groups

    1. Bosniaks Catholics 20%
    2. Bosniaks Orthodoxes 20%
    3. Bosniaks Krstjani (Bosnian Church) 60%

Bosniaks were in fact the first PROTESTANT people in technical sense by creating their own Church separate from Rome and Constantinople.
Modern Historians think there was about 60% adherents of Bosnian Church where other 40% were either Catholics or Orthodoxes.

Problem with Bosniaks was that they were poor people who lived in villages among the woods, far away from civilization of Dalmatia, Italy
and Byzantium and they despised all of those people or rather they observed them with jealousy so they created their "own ways of doing things"

Bosnia was the only country in Europe where Christian "Heresy" became a state religion by it's people while Rulers were Catholics only in form to
entertain the goodwill of the Pope.

Fear among the western Christians who cared little about tiny Bosnia wasn't about Bosnia itself but rather Bosnian preachers who spread their
version of Christianity towards Orleans, Lombardy and other areas of Europe by 1022.

As the time went on... hatred against Bosniaks among both Catholic and Orthodox groups grew stronger and stronger while Bosniaks, along with
Slavic Pagans resisted violently refusing to convert to any of two mainstream factions.

1234 A.D Pope Gregory X wrote: "Such is the multitude of infidels in Bosnia and surrounding areas that entire country weeps and aches, barren and impassable"

1319 A.D. Pope Ivan XII wrote to Croatian ruler Ivan Šubić about Bosniaks: "They are learning disastrous heretical fallacies. We often with great sorrow listened
from credible sources, that the land of Bosniaks is a land of heretics, that churches are being abandoned, that clergy is being uprooted, christian sanctities
being trudged on, the cross is not being respected, moreover, there is no sacrament of christening"

Bosnian Church followed a belief that there are TWO GODS, Good one and Evil one.

Local Bosniak leader without a noted name said: "We would rather die than become Orthodox or Catholic"

One of the Catholic Grand Inquisitors Giovanni de Capistrano wrote to Pope Kalisto III: "Bosnian Christians (members of Bosnian Church) are not members
of Eastern Church, nay, they would rather die in disbelief than accept the religion of Eastern Church"

The amount of hatred Bosniaks had against the Pope and Constantinople, which at one moment had a competition who will massacre more Bosniaks
us best confirmed by a letter according to which the "bogomils" or members of Bosnian Church inclined toward the Ottomans against Catholic and Orthodox terror, it
goes that Pope's Legate Ivan Karahal sent Nikola Barbuchini to Bosnian King Stephen Tomašević in order to talk him into declaring war against Ottomans under Hungarian
command, after the Talk, Nikola sent a letter back to Pope saying: "King is willing to go to war against the Ottomans, but the King doesn't represent his people who
are Heretics as majority and are not willing to stand behind the King, there is even support for Ottomans against Christians among them"

After Bosnian Kingdom fell to Ottomans and King Stephen got executed, Bosnian people recieved Mehmed II fatih as "liberator from Catholic and Orthodox oppresion" especially
for a reason Mehmed II half-Serb who spoke Serbian language perfectly. Heretics became Muslims over the next 500 years while Catholic Bosniaks and Orthodox Serbs mostly
became Serbs and Croats and opposite.

Being protestant is more than just separate thmeslves from Rome and Constantinopole. It's also rejecting some sacraments for example
Except it it's very nice thread

Who cares what the hillbilly academy of "science" in Bosnia has to say. There are no sources of the Bosnian populace being Bogomil in any considerable amount. Probably just a handfull of butthurt nobles.

Bosnia was by far majority Catholic, with orthodox minority in the east. Very few nobles were bogumil and most ended reconverting to Catholicism.
Bosnia was clear and by absolute majority Catholic Land. Deal with it muzzie, you can't change history.

As I said opinion of Hungarians and Orthodox Shepherds is unimportant... absolutely unimportant.

I am not changing the facts, I am stating the opinion of Academy.

Since Bosnia was in confrontation with Both factions and severe animosity, it's lunacy to listen the opinion of Orthodoxes or Catholics.

I liked the thread until that part. How can you call the official view of the Bosnian Academy of Science an absolute truth? Maybe it is the truth, but then how it is such if the person who spreads it labels different opinions that may counter it as "unimportant"? Proving the Croatian/Serbian counterarguments wrong is one of the biggest arguments you have to prove yourself right.
