The same way that Ashkenazi Jews derive half of their ancestry from the local Southern European women. ashkenazi jews are very mixed from their father side as well. very different haplogroups. and only minority of it is semitic / haplogroup E. Palestinians have way more native levant ancestry. Jewish in the end is a religion. Most jews dont look middle-eastern in their appearance.

There's something interesting going on here. Notice how all three Lebanese populations and Palestinian Christians follow Beirut_IA in that they require substantial Aegan admixture, meanwhile Southern Levantines, Muslims and Samaritans require close to zero just like Ashkelon_IA from Southern Canaan, once I add a North African-shifted individual(Sardinia_Punic). Which btw improves the fit a lot for all groups, especially for Palestinians and Jordanians. Cool how this is still the case in the region today.
