Default The Iron Age in Finland, artefacts

The Finnish Iron Age was rich and healthy. Conversely to the common belief the Swedish era didn't create a new culture, it destroyed a powerful culture in Finland for 500 years.

Only a small fragment of IA artefacts are in internet, thousands pieces are figured and photoed in literature.

There were tens of local Finnish Iron age variations of items that existed in other North European regions, for example buckles for fastening tunics. The variation is called a crayfish buckle. These variations proves about local identity and existing "small industry".

Christianity came to Finland at least 150 years before the first suggested Swedish crusade and 250 years before the first proven crusade. This is true if we can believe archaelogists. Oldest cross medallions are from the beginning of the second millenium. But first Christian symbols are older and from the 7th century, in other worlds before the Viking Age.

These crosses are dated to 1000-1150 AD.

Crayfish buckles are distinctly Finnish and tens of these are found. You can't find them more than one or two in Sweden, probably not even single one.

I can't say about all items, but at least many swords seem to be made locally in Finland. Everyone with years experience can make them using Iron Age tools. This is a proved fact. Luxorious models came likely from Germany.

Yeah, a lot of Norse symbols, but hard to say are they initially Norse or Saxon. I bet on Saxon, because many symbols are there older than in Scandinavia. Not splitting hairs, but f.ex. oldest ring swords are Saxon or Anglo-Saxon.

Especially Merovingian items in Finland differ from what we call Norse.

So not even norse mythology is scandinavian anymore?

IDK what you are talking about. Oldest ring swords are from England, Kent. And Viking swords of highest quality from German Rhine Valley. Certain ornaments, seen above are Scandinavian, but not all is Scandinavian. F.ex. IA jewellery found in Finland shows mostly Baltic style.

There is norse characters from the norse mythology on the items.

I think you should stop hating yourself and try to change history.
