Default turkoGreekism, and the delusions of Dimitris Kitsikis.

The Intermediate Region is an established geopolitical model set forth in the 1970s by the Greek historian Dimitri Kitsikis, professor at the University of Ottawa in Canada.[1] According to this model, the Eurasian continent is composed of three regions; in addition to Western Europe and the Far East, a third region called the "Intermediate Region" found between the two constitutes a distinct civilization. It roughly covers Eastern Europe and the Middle East and North Africa.

Kitsikis, since the 1960s, has been the recognised theorist, first in Greece and then in Turkey, of the idea of a Greek-Turkish Confederation, which he has promoted by influencing statesmen, politicians, journalists, artists and thinkers in both countries

Kitsikis wrote in both his Facebook and Twitter accounts, the day after the Turkish referendum 2017: "Christ is risen! The Empire is risen! The Ottoman world is risen! The Intermediate Region has come again to life! Long live president Erdoğan! Fethullah Gülen, former Erdoğan`s spiritual father has lost but his ideas, through his pupil Erdoğan have triumphed. Dimitri Kitsikis".

Someone provide him with a white robe.......

Because he is aware the fact that large chunk of Turks are Byzantine converts and he observes Greece and those Turks as a single people.

He basically wants resurrection of Ottoman / Byzantine Empire to rival entire Europe (just like in the past), but such thing is impossible because Germanic conquerors are numerous times more powerful.

Southern European Civilization is dead. Destroyed by French, Norse and AngloSaxon, Turkic, Slavic conquerors.

    Why are you surprised?

    Conversion includes:

    -Language change
    -Culture change
    -religion change
    etc...

But I've been told by Anatolian Orthodox people that they are Anatolians who abandoned Christianity and Hellenism and became Turks by language, culture and religion.

It's obvious that Turks are Armenian, Syrian, and Anatolian Iranic people who were the citizens of Byzantine Empire.

Whoever think that modern Turks are Oghuzez belongs to mental hospital.

    Today? None.

    I am speaking about past.

In 12-15th century there was more connection because they were still in the process of loosing Greek language so many of them spoke Greek.

No one, neither the turks nor the greeks want a turko-greek-synthetic state. Both should solve their problems(together) before raving nonsense.

They spoke Greek as much as the Indians and Greeks have similar civilization, and the Intermedium civilizational region exists.
