No. The Arab rule in Egypt was very brief and so on. The degradation of Egyptian society as a whole is a very recent phenomenon ever since Jamal Abdul Nasser ousted the king and his family out of Egypt and took over the country which was gradually had been declining ever since. I mean, I'm living in the UAE for example which is ruled by the native Arabians, and it's far beyond more better than say Egypt or the entire Levant region(Israel and Jordan are clear exceptions to this).

Nasser was a socialist. Egypt literally had the best cinema and culture and products and food during Nasser's era. Years of incompetent leadership after the death of Nasser have been tragic for the country. Egypt has never had a "good" president and probably never will because the military deepstate is already embedded into literally everything there is. Closest you could argue is Mubarak and only because he maintained the status quo and kept everyone in check.

From Nectanebo II to Nasser, for 2300 years, Egypt was ruled by successive dynasties of nomads dedicated more to fucking each others butts (literally) than building the country in any way.
