The Baltic advance bogged down in central-Latvia with the Livonians and there was a continuos Finnic inhabitation from Estonia to Finland through Ingria even in the 19th century. Luckily the Eastern-European Balto-Slavs haven't made it this far north and we the Finnic Estonians/Finns have preserved our ancient Northern-European phenotypes.
