Op eyes are much wider set (more common in North/Scandinavia)- her head is also more squarrish, but i m sure you have similar types in Spain, i m not denying this.

Regarding the two women posted one looks obviously Spanish but the Icelandic woman looks more Northwestern European. Here's a clearer picture of her. I don't know what the fuss about her is. She doesn't look non-Icelandic to me in any case. She's not the stereotypical blond Scando but Scandinavians have a range like all other populations and to me even her colouring is not unusual.

For just a small European population/ethnic ... Icelandics have some variations what comes to looks of them.
Based on that ... I see no real A-typical on her.

Could be due to their significant Gaelic input but most Icelandic look like other Scandinavians to me. I think Scandinavians have some variation as well. They have some interesting looking types like other populations.

Yes, it is obvious that the main difference is the cheekbones, but most of her photos are with the mouth opened, so it appears that the differences are even more big than real (without the mouth opened).

This is the only photo of her without the mouth opened:

And this is the Spanish one:

That they look somehow similar is obvious, that they are not twins is obvious too. But I am sure that if the icelandic woman had a sister she could probably be less similar than with the Spanish woman. And yes we probably have more people much more similar with the icelandic woman but I can´t think of one (a famous one) right now.

Very different face shape, skin tone. They just don't look alike IMO.

They obviously look like different nationalities to me but maybe I'm blind and don't see what you do. Anyway I'll leave it there and let other's chime in. I guess they both wear glasses.

When comparing people it is better to use good lighting images (the ones you use to say different skin tone are without good lighting). I am sure that in the Street they would have the same skin tone. It is like if I take this lighting for the Spanish:

And this lighting with the icelandic:

And yes, I am not saying they look the same (I am sure there are many more than are better examples), but that they look somehow similar can be seen by most people. And it is obvious that the high cheekbones are the main difference but I am sure that most icelandic people don´t even have her high cheekbones either.
