Germany: Antifa extremists brutally assault female real estate employee in her own home
By Arthur Lyons 7 November 2019
German Antifa extremists invaded the apartment of a real estate employee before brutally beating her as a part of the group’s war against the development of luxury apartments in Leipzig.
According to police spokesman Andreas Loepki, the pair of far-left extremists punched the 34-year-old women in the face numerous times after forcing their way into her apartment at around 7 pm on Sunday, German tabloid Bild reports.
Loepski added that before the two Antifa extremists left women’s apartment, they said: “Goodbye, ‘Greetings from Connewitz.’”
Connewitz is an area of Leipzig that’s well-known for its association with the city’s Antifa movement.
Recently, Antifa has repeatedly tried to sabotage the construction sites of luxury apartment developments across Leipzig. Last month, the left-wing extremist organization set two cranes ablaze at a construction site run by the same company, causing around ten million euros in damage. The group also burned several excavators at several construction sites in the city during the same month.
Last weekend’s incident, however, marks the first time Antifa has targeted a person in their ongoing campaign of political violence.
Leipzig’s Mayor Burkhard Jung of the Social Democrats has spoken out against the brutal attack, saying: “A line has been crossed: the militant left scene does not even shy away from attacks on defenseless women.
“The idea spread by the extreme left-wing scene, that they only commit violence against things and state institutions, but not against people, has been exposed for what it always was: a lie,” Jung added.
“The rule of law must be applied consistently. We must be careful that in the current debate concerning right-wing terrorism, we do not lose sight of left-wing extremism and its contempt for humanity, which is not inferior to that of the right-wing,” Jung said, warning that if things continued in this direction that political murder wasn’t far off.
Leipzig wasn’t the only city to see left-wing violence over the weekend.
19 police officers were left with injuries in Berlin after hundreds of far-left extremists hurled bottles, stones, and other projectiles at them during a protest against the eviction of groups who are currently occupying low-rent buildings.

Greece: Left-wing extremists who tried to bomb former minister’s home arrested
By Arthur Lyons 30 May 2020
A pair of left-wing extremists who attempted to detonate explosives outside the home of former Minister of State Dimitris Stamatis have been arrested by Greek authorities.
On Wednesday morning, Greek police arrested a 28-year-old female and a 27-year-old male in the Kalamariá district of Thessaloniki as the male was attempting to set off an incendiary explosive device outside of the former conservative minister’s home, Greek newspaper Proto Thema reports.
After taking the two extremists into custody, the police conducted searches on four houses in the city center where they had been living. During the search, investigators recovered homemade explosives, tear gas grenades, plastic bottles with flammable materials, pepper spray, cannabis, a slingshot with metal bolts, and a collection of electronics.
Authorities have charged the pair with violating gun laws, attempting to form a criminal organization, attempted arson, attempted bombing, construction and possession of explosives, possessions of drugs, and resisting arrest.
Ten additional individuals are believed to be connected to the case.
Police were first alerted to the situation after a woman was seen riding a bicycle and repeatedly observing the former ministers apartment building. Shortly after, the male suspect was seen in the same area attempting to set off the explosives. It was then when police moved in to arrest him. Although initially he was able to get away, he was apprehended shortly after in the city center.
Antifa attacks Jewish Guest at Berlin Film Fest Holocaust Screening
By Voice of Europe 11 February 2019
Four members of the Young Alternative (JA), the youth chapter of the Alternative for Germany, were attacked by Antifa on their way to see a film about the Warsaw Ghetto.
Two were wounded, one of the victims was Jewish and managed to escape the attack.
In what some saw as a politically motivated publicity stunt, retiring Berlin festival director Dieter Kosslick had challenged members of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party to come see the festival entry “Who Will Write Our History” by Roberta Grossman on Sunday evening at 10.30 pm, implying the AfD is antisemitic. Several members of the Young Alternative accept the offer, only to be jumped by masked thugs and attacked.
“We were walking toward the theater at about 10 pm down Karl Marx Blvd. About 50 yards away from the theater, they jumped at us. There were about a half-dozen of them. They used improvised weapons they can’t be arrested for, but which can do serious damage. They held batteries in their fists to strike with, and one of them had a wine glass which he smashed, and used the broken stem to stab at us like a knife. I was cut in the upper arm and didn’t even notice it till I got home”, said JA Berlin member Vadim Derksen.
Derksen says he has no idea how the masked thugs recognized them. “We weren’t wearing any emblems by which you could recognize us, just normal clothes.” He also didn’t know how they knew which direction they were coming from. “Maybe there were two ambush squads, one on either side of the theater.”
One member of the JA was struck on the head and had to be tended to by a medic. Another JA member, who is Jewish, managed to escape the attackers on foot before he was injured.
“We think it’s a good idea Berlin festival director Dieter Kosslick wants to talk about anti-semitism, but we think he’s preaching to the the wrong crowd. The real anti-semitism in Germany today comes from Muslims, the real extremist violence from Antifa. We were interested to see the film and wanted to discuss it. We would also be open to a debate about politics, with the filmmaker, the festival or even the Antifa who attacked us. Unfortunately, while they always say they want to debate us and defeat our arguments, they only seem to have violence to resort to.”
AfD MP Petr Bystron just barely escaped the attack, arriving several minutes afterward. “This kind of attack is symptomatic for Germany under the Merkel government of 2019,” Bystron told the Gateway Pundit. “Members of the most successful German party of the postwar era are defamed, ostracized and attacked, and the mainstream media contribute to this atmosphere of division and hate. Mr. Kosslick was just trying to defame the AfD and fan the flames of hatred by portraying us as somehow antisemitic, even though the AfD defends our Jewish citizens more than anyone. Mr. Kosslick is directly to blame for this attack.”
When contacted for comment, a Berlin film festival spokesman said, “We planned this event with increased security and coordination with the Berlin police in and around the movie theater. The Berlin film festival condemns all forms of violence, and encourages everyone to remain peaceful.”
The Berlin film festival declined to comment on the violence against a Jewish audience member who followed the festival director’s invitation to see the film, or to say whether they would engage in dialogue with the victims of their publicity stunt.
Filmmaker Roberta Grossman has not yet responded to requests for comment.
