Most of them really are muslims but not all of them. There is such a group of Tatars who are Christians and they are called Kryashen. The word "Kryasheny" in translation from the Tatar language means "baptized Tatar."
Nevertheless tatar is tatar, i would be helpful to tell where she is from or which kind of tatar she is.

Zagitova was born on 18 May 2002 in Izhevsk, Udmurtia. Her parents came from Tatarstan (close to Udmurtia).
