Earlier today, I was listening to the car radio while I was driving somewhere. Someone was interviewing the head of the police officer's association for my city, and he said that the rioters here (fortunately, not Minneapolis; my neighborhood has been quiet) were sophisticated and organized. If I understood him correctly, he also said that someone left a pallet of bricks somewhere. Bricks can be used as weapons by rioters.

Yes, I've heard other reports about that too. Apparently several pallets of bricks were found in different cities in locations where marches were to take place...it was placed there beforehand, well planned operation. And in places where there is no construction taking place.

Interesting, this is almost civil war, but a civil war of a government vs. criminal gangs, with no particular interest in politics or governance.

This is surprising, I would have thought America would be more resilient in the face of insurrection/revolutionary actions. But today America looks more like Syria at the beginning of its Arab Spring protests that turned violent. Is this the beginning of civil war? What should be done? Maybe European NATO allies can help by sending crack riot police units to quell the unrest. Some really good riot police in Europe.

According to some sources, mayors are basically telling police to leave the protesters be for the most part. These cities are also in democratic states, that hate Trump. It wouldn't shock me if that is true, or at least half true.

It should - hire the Greek riot police. The violent rioters will be beaten to a pulp then arrested - but then you will see all over social media "police brutality" so catch 22.

Not only that but there people were also throwing Molotov cocktails at police cars, and a black Federal Protective Services officer was killed in oakland recently, not to mention the countless innocent police officers, small business owners and bystanders caught up in this savage behavior. Most of this violence is propagated by antifa, the left wing media, and everyone else whose easily swayed by their influence for their call to violence, they are the biggest threats to the social fabric of an already fragile society that has been divided 100x over by political and racial ideology, the federal government either has to take swift an immediate action to suppress and make an example out of those aggravating the situation or there will have to be vigilante communities in every town protecting the law abiding citizens, there's not much choice in the matter
