I am incredibly intolerant. I cannot have any kind of milk without bloating, needing to use the restroom and other gastric issues. This includes in baked goods. I've been like this since I was young for whole milk and since about 13 for cheese.

I haven't had dairy at all in over 10 years.

I make my own bread and mostly cook at home 95% of the time.

When i was about 21 i hit my intolerance, i made food with sour cream and emptied my stomach within 1 hour
sour cream is my biggest enemy.

Now i only drink lactose free milk and eat cheese, no other dairy products.

Edit: btw I drank some milk a couple days ago and my stomach hurt like hell for almost a day it was insane

There are some lactose tolerance genes specific for Huns and some other North Asian people. Those are different from the generic European ones. You have to check all the following SNPs.

it means you're intolerant. I'm also GG and it's true, i wasn't able to drink milk before but i got used to. I drunk a little bit everyday, very small quantities and in parallel i had home-made kefir. I bought the actual ferment. after a few months i was able to drink milk like a normal person. i still don't exaggerate but i'm good

I have had the same things happen when I was younger. Cut dairy out of your diet entirely. It is for the best, and calcium is richer in other foods like vegetables than in milk. Earlier this year I had some baked goods for dessert, and I became sick and was awake all night. I had asked beforehand if there was milk, and they said "no". However, I asked a day later again and a different person said they use the same bowls and pouring machines for milk in some of their other goods and it is not uncommon for some milk to splash into their non-milk products when they try to turn off the valves. So they say, "No, there is no milk but there MIGHT be milk." Great; for someone like myself that's saying this meal MIGHT blow up your stomach but we cannot promise one way or another. Never bought from there again, lol.

Also, according to this lactate persistence chart, most Hungarians are lactose intolerant.

I remember reading that around 75% of Euros are lactose tolerant - much lower in some African and Middle-eastern countries and almost none in Asia.
So most of the world can't process dairy properly.
I tried cutting out dairy for over a month and my stomach hurt like hell the whole time lol

apparently only 15% of europeans are lacto-intolerant. and based on this map, most of them are in the south-east
