Can Southeast Asians pass in Latin America?

Some can atypically, though East/Southeast Asians are usually easily told apart from people of mixed Native American ancestry. Those from regions such as Vietnam however can not pass at all imo

Not necessarily as Vietnamese can sometimes resemble Brazilids who can occasionally look like NE Asians living in jungles.

Most cannot pass. They look different phenotypically from most Amerindians and Indomestizos and would look out of place.

Ppl who say they look alike are pretty ignorant and focused too much on tanned brown skin, straight hair and small round eyes but ignore everything else including overall facial features and phenotypes which is rather distinct.

Nope, I agree with the others. Most of them certainly cannot pass, maybe on an individual level.

Even ,,halfies" can't pass imo. For example, I know two half Japanese and half Hungarian kids, they don't look like a Mexican for example. There is still a very strong East-Asian vibe to them. But yeah, we're talking about SEA people now.

In fact, I'd say that Maoris and Pacific Islanders often look more pseudo-Latin American (in a Mulatto/Triracial/Zambo sense) than SE Asians do.

Pacific Islanders refers to Polynesians, Micronesians and Fijians in this case? Because I think Melanesians like Solomon Islands, Papuans cannot pass.. they look too distinct andnl exotic to look pseudo-Mulatto or Zambo.

They pass better than East Asians but still IMO they look rather distinct and more "oriental-like" on average, although there is some overlap with some of the more Amerindian shifted Latin Americans of course.

Some can but definitely not as a group, I think North Africa or some other MENA populations can pass much better as a whole than south Asians in general, there are some who can though.
