MyOrigins 3.0 Will start updating Today!

Is there a separate website or something where they announce the updates and everything? I didn't find anything regarding the FTDNA or Myheritage update for instance, only a forum and another website, plus Reddit 3 months ago and that's it.

Lol It's been so long and they haven't updated..I'm still excited about it but I think there will definitely be a 23andme update before FTDNA . I was looking forward to the new FTDNA chromosome painting but now I've almost forgot about it .

Honestly, who cares what update they will come up with, both FTDNA and MH. What they do is just changing their dataset and replace population clusters with another. What is important from my perspective is changes in the sample size of 23andme which determines the efficiency of IBD they use. (region assigning) Any other update related to ancestry breakdown in any company will be useless unless they bring a new tool or method or something. 23andme's regions were revolutionary for DNA companies, we need developments like this, yet even 23andme couldn't manage to run IBD efficiently yet.



MH will have 90+ population groups? Wow! You can prepare 150+ population groups for yourself by using G25 basically, and you will be the same shit at the end of the day. Not to mention they couldn't even manage to come up with such a fundamental update and postponed it many times.

MH will have both ethnicity estimates and regional assignments (genetic groups).
