Just convert your "Bad" Raw Data with Admixture Studio and youre good to go. It doesnt matter that much which company you buy your kit from if the only reason you buy it for are the Gedmatch admix tools.

I understand that everyone's trying to be edgy and I get that major companies cater to normies and gedmatch is awesome and scientific and true but in my opinion some of these companies do a really good job and are improving.
But I wanna bring up another topic. Very often on this forum I see people saying that X company is inaccurate, Y company gave me the most accurate results, Z service sucks and so on. Guy, let me just say it, guys...if you are so sure about your origin why the fuck are you buying DNA tests? How can you evaluate what's more accurate ? Most of the people on this forum are already biased about their ancestry and accept only something that fits their bias. It's sooo easy to bash on MyHeritage's random 3.42% Finnish and FTDNA's 13% Iberian as a Bulgarian but some companies (like 23andme in my opinion) and external services are maybe more accurate than your random ass belief and bias about where you come from and what you should be.

if you convert 23andme v5 to v3 or ancestry, you will still have all the same snps, just in a different format. or if you use the "raw template" option, it will actually shave off the extra snps specific for v5, and won't add any new ones, so you'll actually end up with less SNPs.
only imputing with dna.land can give you more SNPs, but they currently don't allow downloads for some reason.

I'll explain it this way. I tested Y-111 then did R1a backbone. I got quite a few matches which provided me with insights to my origins. I am talking specifics. It also provided specific variants I tested positive for and which nations they came from. This also exposed to me which DNA tests are crap. This is why I was calling you a dumbass. If you know what you are doing you learn a lot from FTDNA Y tests especially if you are mixed like me and want to learn your specific origins. I match with this haplogroup....R-BY27938. It's Russian. It along with two others confirm I have origins in Russia. A few DNA tests have failed to confirm it. 23&me I have over a dozen Russian matches and more Ukrainians with origins in Russia. Yet, they do not clarify where my Slavic origins are from. FTDNA Y testing has confirmed that even specific cities. It also showed me David Wesolowski was correct in his analysis and some of these American companies really suck.
