blonde hair is likely a proto-germanic-balto-slavic trait. that should not mean however that those people were homogenous blonde or light haired.

I mean few anthropological remains of early Slavs - they were all very dolicocephalic likely belonging to Corded Nordid or/and robust North Pontid type.
So round face Slav stereotype is bullshit and result of poor living conditions in medieval when all central and east Euro populations started brachycephalisation.

Eary Slavs were pred. tall and long skulled/long faced.

Now again in Slavic countries more and more dolicho individuals are born due to improved living standard (height increase also) but with infantile features due to physical inactivity in cities.
