Noble families in Hungary

my fathers grandmother was a Andrássy. a little story when the Russians were in Hungary she had to write her name down on a paper so she wrote Andrássy so after she wrote her name with an Y on the end they asked her if she was sure that her name ends with an Y. and she said yes i always wrote it like this and after that she got arrested by them. i still have Andrássy family in Hungary they live now in Székesfehérvár.

Then you probably know the Andrássy Street the famous boulevard in Budapest,named after the main supporter of its plan, Prime Minister Gyula Andrássy.

Near Székesfehérvár you can find many castles:
Esterházy Castle, Csákvár
Károlyi Castle, Fehérvárcsurgó
Zichy Mansion, Zichyújfalu
Zichy–Hadik Castle, Seregélyes
Nádasdy Mansion, Nádasdladány

Wow! It's amazing to know about something like this. Sadly/Unfortunately, I don't know about high-ranked family members and I probably didn't have any nobles among my ancestors.

Oh, before or after Krasznahorka, then you must visit Csíkszentkirály in Szeklerland as well.

Similiar story in my family ... I dont know too much about it but My Grandmother surname Szilvasi ...but when they did background checks the family was told had to change spelling because they were from blue blood ... something about changing spelling at the end with a Y .
