    I don't care what you use, but the accent of the 90% of the population between those two extremes would be a better representation.

    Australia over South African.

    The average Australian accent is not harsh on the ears.

    The white South African accent can be grating over a period of time. My sons GF is South African and hers is a very neutral accent. The most neutral I've ever heard.

    Yeah some White South Africans can actually sound quite posh.
