    The biggest points

Himyar converted their empire to Judaism

Himyar occupied and was minorly occupied by Aksum

Himyar sought assistance from Persia to oust the Aksumites and pro-Byzantine Abyssinians, the Persians remained in Himyar to this day and together they converted to Islam and intermixed to create modern Yemenites. I don't think Houthis have anything to do with the original Persian muslim population though.

Yup. Not to mention that many ancient Arab tribes in central and the Hijaz regions of Arabia were under their rule, and many Arab Christians in the ancient Arab city of Najran were massacred by the Jewish king of Himyar, Dhu Nuwas, as well.

Al-Mundhir, king of Al-Hirah and Iraq Kothi in the inscription of Mossel Al-Jammeh in Saudi Arabia, which dates back to the sixth century AD bearing the inscription No. Ry 510

    The inscription reads:
"Ma'ad Karab Ya'far, the king of Sheba, who is Raydan, Hadramawt and Yamna, and expressed them in Al-Najad (Najd) and Al-Tahaim, announce and write this text in the essence of Al-Jamah. On the campaign that they carried out in Iraq Kata (Iraq Kothi) in support of their Arab advocates (Arabs), the revolting warriors of the warner (Madhram). I tired) against the forerunner who surrendered."

    Notes :
    - The inscription dates back to the sixth century AD and it was translated by Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Ansari
    - Without this King Al-Himyari “Ma’ad Karb” in Wadi Musil Al-Jamah in Saudi Arabia and in a place far from the center of his influence
    - The text talks about the orientation of Arab tribes and their alliance with King Al-Himyari against the King of Al-Hirah, Mundhir bin Imru Al-Qais
    - Kita vein, which means mostly Kothi, Iraq
    - Kothi was a Babylonian city mentioned in cuneiform sources and known as a center of worship for the god, Nergel(god of the underworld)

As this point, most of the ancient Arab tribes were Christians despite popular belief that they were pagans, and one can see the recent discoveries of epigraphic and archaeological evidence that ancient Arabs were writing the Arabic language with Christian symbology back in the 5th and 6th centuries AD which I had posted a couple of them here:
