The oldest hotel in Spain
The Posada del Peine was opened in 1610, and today it continues to operate in the heart of Madrid.
It has been reported that its walls included, among others, the widow of Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, Casta Esteban, and the painter José Gutiérrez Solana. The building was also the subject of a speech at the Camilo José Cela Language Academy.
