    Default After the end

In revelations, after the 1000 year reign, God says a new Heaven and Earth will be made. The bible also speaks about the Elohim, a topic of which i'm not certain. I've read somewhere that the (g)ods of the religions are principalities and powers (demons essencially), which makes sense, but can there be "good" (g)ods? Are those gods Elohim? Will we be the Elohim of this new earth?

    Smile a suggestion

    perhaps,
utilising one of the on-line bibles
that provides url-links to specific verses

    will facilitate this discussion?

    otherwise
the topic and questions might seem extremely vague

and lacking any references to the source material
the responses could be equally hypothetical.

    These are NIV

    Revelations 20:4
"Then I saw thrones and seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. These had not worshiped the beast or his image and had refused to receive his mark on their forehead or hand. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years."

    Revelations 21:1
"Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”"

    Psalms 82:1
    "God presides in the great assembly;
he renders judgment among the “gods”"
// gods supposedly being the translation for Elohim.

    Ephesians 6:12
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms"

There is only one God. Demons are not gods, nor are angels gods. Maybe some humans worshipped demons as "gods", but they certainly are not anything close to God.

And no, we humans will never become gods. This is one of the primary false teachings of the devil that he uses to entice men's pride with. But we will never become gods. We are humans, created in the image of God, and we will serve him and worship him and be with him for eternity.

Don't get stuck with the Hebrew name "Elohim". It's just a word.

All of that is true, and thanks for reminding me.
However, I didn't imply demons were Gods with a capital g, merely treated as gods.
Aside from that, Jesus did say we were gods in John 10:34 when he was accused of saying he was the Son of God.
I presume here Jesus is saying gods as in children of God, not Him.

    Yes, I suppose.

The Mormons believe that we will all become gods one day, and own our own planets. But they have very heretical beliefs that are surely from the devil. For example, they believe God the Father used to be a man... then he became a "god". They believe in many gods.

It reminds me zoroastrism where God (Ahura Mazda) has plural emanation, the Amesha Spenta.

There is equivalent in Revelation book of christianism:

"From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God." Revelation 4:5
