    ist bei starken Dialekten auch so. Wenn die Schweizer richtig in ihrem Dialekt sprechen versteht man auch nicht viel.

    Ik denk dat het grootste verschil (unterschied - onderscheid heeft een iets andere betekenis hier) tussen het geschreven Duits en Nederlands hem toch echt in de spelling zit. en dat is ook doelbewust: voor 1946 leken geschreven Nederlands en Duits veel meer op elkaar.

    Ja stimmt, ich frag mich wie wir für sie klingen. Sie können ja sich so „anpassen“, dass wir sie verstehen. Als ich in Passau nach dem Wlan Passwort an einer Tankstelle fragte hatte ich echt Probleme zum Beispiel es zu verstehen.

    Dutch sounds like deutsch they are indeed a split of the germans with a regional dialect I understand many words and can a little guess what they said but I don't understand it really

    Het is een beetje rottige datum maar een proeve van hoe geschreven Nederlands er voor de spellingshervorming van 1946 uitzag:



    Het feit dat het nu wat verder uit elkaar lijkt te liggen is een na-oorlogse (nachkriegszeit) doelbewuste politieke keuze (Wahl) geweest.. die eigenlijk teruggedraaid zou moeten worden. Ook de woordkeuze ligt nog dichter bij het Duits: woorden als troepenmacht (dat zie je ook niet meer in het Nederlands), de sch-spelling.. dat is ook weg. Het is puur kunstmatig (artificieel)

    Voor de 20ste eeuw was de grammatica ook Duitser - en dat zie je nog steeds heel soms terugkomen in bepaalde vervoegingen : In naam des Konings, in naam der Koningin. Het is zwaar verouderd maar we komen van dezelfde stam af en eigenlijk moeten we toch een beetje terug naar de bron.

    That's because you're from the wrong area. If you were from Western or Northern Germany, you likely would have understood anything between 90 and 99 percent of it.
