Except Finland is exactly one of the best countries in the world, one of the most democratic countries, one of the most educated countries, one of the least corrupted countries ... and one which has fought the most hardest ways (per heads) against communism.

Yes, one can mix it to others (as being a small country) ... but then ... mix it with right group! Personally? I tend to require leaders of countries much more than average citizens...

Karelia can be contested area (part of it anyway ... borderline 1917-1939 vs the present one) but today whole area of Karelia is unfortunately same shape as rest of Russia, not a same as rest of Finland.

Anyway, Bolton was right about China.



They should have struck while the iron was hot or given a casus belli for the future so that they could knock them down a peg before they become too powerful.

Now they are in a position more and more like America was pre-Covid. They have overwhelming control of global institutions like the WHO, they are arming rapidly, they are becoming the world's biggest economy, and they can cripple US in a trade war.

There's no way after the last couple months of this pandemic that they could sustain war with China. Soon we will see that the mid 2010's was the optimal time to reassert themselves over their geopolitical enemy as they wallow in their current stagnation.
