    Evangelicals are growing in Latin America since 70's, they're also more engaged politicians than catholics are, I think it's a matter of time already

    Yeah, but there're 2 different periods.

    In the past, as my mom said when she was a teenager, Catholics used to see other Christians with some disdain. And we are talking mostly about Baptists, Presbiterians, Methodistans etc. Nowadays the issue is related to Neo-Pentecostals, mainly from Brazilian churches like Universal or Assembléia de Deus. And yes, they are totally different.

    In Spain the only visible non Catholic Christian group are the Evangelical... and the big majority is formed by Gypsies since Gypsies are all Evangelical.
    And Evangelical are Protestants. They are seen like pure scum here.

    Here they are not only visible but actually have a good amount of power. Weird enough, even drug cartels actually are related to some small churches to a point they say they are "Soldiers of Jesus" and things like that. No joke.
